Twitch Working to Better Safeguard Children. The Article Must Describe Twitch Working to Better Safeguard Children

In the past year, Twitch has been working to better safeguard children. This has included making changes to the platform and its policies, as well as increasing its investment in safety initiatives.

Twitch has announced that it is working on new tools to better safeguard children, including a dedicated reporting channel for incidents involving minors and improved moderation around young users.

One of the biggest changes has been the introduction of a new safety setting, which allows parents to control what content their children can see. This setting can be found in the Account Settings menu, under the Parental Controls section.

The company is also partnering with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) to help identify and report cases of child sexual abuse.

"We are committed to doing everything we can to keep minors safe on our platform," said Twitch CEO Emmett Shear in a blog post.

"These are just some of the steps we are taking to make Twitch a safer environment for everyone, especially young people."

Another change that Twitch has made is to its Terms of Service. The updated Terms of Service now includes a section on “Safety for Minors,” which outlines Twitch’s commitment to keeping children safe on the platform.

In addition to these changes, Twitch has also increased its investment in safety initiatives. This includes the creation of a Safety Advisory Council, which is made up of experts in the field of child safety. The Safety Advisory Council provides Twitch with guidance on how to make the platform safer for children.

The new measures come as Twitch prepares to launch its first-ever digital safety summit later this month.

These are just some of the ways that Twitch is working to better safeguard children. By making these changes, Twitch is sending a clear message that the safety of children is a top priority.

The event will bring together experts from the fields of online safety, child protection, and law enforcement to discuss the challenges of keeping children safe online.
